WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT
The impact of population growth on rapid urbanization and changes in consumption patterns and the increase in environmental sensitivities and human awareness have led to more attention toward water reuse strategies from municipal and industrial wastewater.
Sane Shargh Co. has obtained contracting and operation authority in the fields of water and wastewater from valid national organizations. Construction and operation of wastewater treatment plants in various types of contracts such as Buy Back, EPC, BOT are among Sane Shargh Co. projects.
In recent years, following the reduction of underground and surface water resources and considering the need to develop urban green spaces, relevant organizations have decided to expand using wastewater treatment plants to reuse wastewater. Sane Shargh Co., as one of the leading national companies in this field, has investigated on the biggest MBR system, named 40 Bazeh, in Iran with the capacity of 4320 m3/day. The system has been operated from 2020 with a high quality effluent and the treated part is used for green spaces irrigation.
Local Wastewater Treatment Plant
Mashhad local wastewater treatment plant is one of the most advanced membrane wastewater treatment plants in the country, which was built using advanced MBR technology and is being operated on a land with an area of approximately 2500 square meters at the end of Mashhad student street and on the edge of Kal Chehlbazeh.
The average capacity of this treatment plant, which is also considered the largest local treatment plant in the country, is more than 50 liters per second (4320 cubic meters per day), which provides the wastewater necessary to irrigate large areas of Mashhad city with very high quality.
Due to the requirements of public access to wastewater, the use of MBR method with the ability to produce wastewater with COD less than 20 mg/liter, TSS less than 10 mg/liter, and the complete elimination of microbial and even viral factors, is recommended by the environmental organization and in the treatment plant has been used at Mashhad’s Chehelbazeh.
Sane Shargh Co., represented by Moham Shargh Group as an investor in the form of a BOT contract, designed and built this refinery and since the beginning of 1400, it has been operating and delivering quality wastewater to Mashhad Municipality as a project investor.
MBR Method
MBR wastewater treatment is one of the most efficient and newest wastewater treatment methods in the world. This process is an integrated wastewater treatment system, which consists of a combination of biological treatment process (activated sludge) with a submerged membrane system.
In fact, this method, by integrating sedimentation units (clarification), aeration and filtration in one reactor, replaces the conventional wastewater treatment processes (conventional activated sludge) and forms a simple and effective system that reduces the initial investment costs and operating costs of the system.
In this process, by replacing the gravity sedimentation unit with a membrane separator system, many benefits such as stability in operation, reduction of excess sludge production and a much higher quality of the output effluent are obtained. Therefore, this system is a suitable process that can be used in a wide range of systems for reusing treated wastewater in urban and industrial wastewater treatment.
